The Ontario P.C. Party has decided that Patrick Brown will not be an eligible candidate in the upcoming election.
A statement from Ontario P.C. President Jag Badwal says the P.C. Provincial Nominations Committee met and unanimously decided that Brown will not be eligible to run for nomination in his riding of Barrie-Springwater-Oro Medonte.
The P.N.C. has also opened up ridings in Brampton North, Mississauga Centre, and Newmarket-Aurora for nominations.
The Party will set aside the nomination in Hamilton West-Ancaster-Dundas as well, due to what they cite as "a result of a flawed process".
P.C. Party Leader Doug Ford released a statement as well, saying he is pleased with the decisions made by the P.N.C.
