Dewar’s funeral service will be held Saturday at the Dominion-Chalmers church on Cooper St. at O’Connor St. starting at 10:30 a.m.
The flag on the Peace Tower will be lowered Saturday from sunrise to sunset in Dewar’s honour.
Dewar represented the riding of Ottawa Centre from 2006 to 2015. Following his brain cancer diagnosis, he launched the Youth Action Now project, which aims to inspire and empower young people to take leadership roles in improving their communities.
