Ottawa Police have charged a male with animal cruelty following posts made online.
Police say on February 25th, they were tipped off about posts made on social media involving cruelty to a dog. Police say they looked the the posted photos and videos to identify the man.
They say 30-year-old Aron Yardon was identified as the owner of the dog and charged with one count of animal cruelty. He appeared in court that day.
The investigation led police to a home on the 2800 block of Cedarwood Drive in Heron Gate, where they found the dog from the posts.
The dog was then taken to a vet and is in the care of the Ontario SPCA.
