Ottawa Police are searching for two suspects in connection with what they describe as a violent home invasion, attempted murder and kidnapping in Centretown.

Police say a man was in his apartment in the 300 block of Cooper Street with two women visiting on Tuesday afternoon when there was a knock on the door.

When it was answered, investigators say two men rushed in. It's believed one was carrying a handgun used to strike the man in the apartment multiple times.

Police say the victim was also stabbed, then taken to a car driven by a female to a bank on Elgin to make a withdrawl.

The injuries were minor.

Officers arrived at the apartment where they say a third suspect had been confining the two visitors.

29-year-old Justin Russell-Connolly faces multiple charges.

Two 18-year-olds - Brightner Casseus and Marcus Gil (pictured, left and right) - are still being sought, and are considered armed and dangerous.

One of the pending charges against Casseus is attempted murder.

POLICE DESCRIPTIONS:

- Brightner Casseus is described as a black male, 5'11" (180cm), 180 lbs (82kg), black hair, brown eyes.

- Marcus Gil is described as a Caucasian male, 5'9" (175cm), 150 lbs (68kg), dark brown hair, brown eyes
