Ottawa Police have laid more sex assault charges against a music teacher from Brantford.
Police say a third alleged victim has come forward to them to report they were inappropriately touched between 2010 and 2016, while the accused was working at a private studio in Ottawa.
70-year-old Jose Hernandez is now charged with a total of three counts of sexual assault.
Police are concerned there could be more victims out there.
"The Ottawa Police will respect a victim's wishes to pursue or not pursue the matter before the courts," said Staff Sgt Angela McDade with the Sexual Assault and Child Abuse Unit in a release. "The reporting of these incidents by victims to police is key for investigators to identify suspects and determine crime trends."
Hernandez is scheduled to appear in court October 25th.
The police investigation into Hernandez was launched in May 2016, when police received a complaint from a victim who reported they were inappropriately touched.
Police say the investigation led them to the second victim.
