Hawkesbury OPP are asking for help identifying a man after an elderly woman had her purse stolen back in August.
Police say an 82-year-old Champlain Township woman had left the CIBC in Hawkesbury, and was preparing to cross the street at the corner of Main and Race. A male suspect then allegedly took the woman’s black, Italian-made purse and fled.
The woman was not hurt.
Police say the suspect is described as a white man, about 6 feet tall, with a medium build.
He was wearing a black, sleeveless shirt with the word “REVOLUTION” printed in white across the front, and a cobra-head design on the back. He was also wearing black basketball shorts, with wide white stripes on each side, and a light-colored ball cap.
Anyone who has information about the identity or knows the whereabouts of the suspect, please contact Detective/Constable Sebastien Brisson at the Hawkesbury O.P.P. at 613-632-2729 or 1-888-310-1122.
