Neighbours have pitched themselves against a downtown soccer club, claiming noise and lights are degrading their quality of life.
The field has undergone millions in renovations, but nearby residents won a battle at City Hall today to give the new facility a night time curfew.
A motion to ammend regulations now has lights off at 9 p.m. Sunday to Thursday, and 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
And there is to be no activity on the field before 9 a.m. on weekends.
City staff admit that even if the move is challenged, winning is an uphill battle.
