Gatineau Fire says 40 seniors have been put out of their homes after a cooking fire at a retirement residence early Saturday morning.
Crews were called to a ten-story Cartwell residence on Cité-Jardin just before 3:30 a.m.
More than 100 residents safely left the building but 40 have been temporarily displaced.
No injuries have been reported. Damages are estimated at $250,000 dollars.
