The Conseil des écoles catholiques du Centre-Est says students and staff of Bétrice-Desloges High School have been cleared to return to classe, after an email threat was received Thursday morning.
Students and staff were directed to other nearby schools early in the morning as a precaution.

The nature of the threat was not revealed, but Ottawa Police say they are investigating and the threat has not been substantiated.
In a message on its website, the school board says late Thursday morning, Ottawa Police informed them it was safe to resume normal activities at Béatrice-Desloges.

The CECCE would like to provide update on situation at École secondaire catholique @BdDesloges that occurred this morning. @OttawaPolice investigated the situation and then met with the administration to inform them that it was safe to resume normal activities at school.
It is the final day of classes for French board students this school year. The board says steps have been taken to enhance safety at the school.
