Ottawa Police say a man wanted on a Canada-wide arrest warrant in connection with Ottawa’s 11th homicide of 2016 has been arrested in Toronto.
Police issued the warrant for Mustafa Yusuf Ahmed, now 30 years old, after 33-year-old Omar Rashid-Ghader was shot to death at the Sentral Nightclub on Dalhousie Street on August 14, 2016.
The club has since closed down.
Ottawa Police say Ahmed was arrested by the Toronto Police Thursday and will be in an Ottawa court Friday.
He is facing a charge of second-degree murder in connection with Rashid-Ghader’s death.
