Some tense moments at Carleton University Wednesday night, as several Ottawa Police officers entered the main campus library for an investigation.
The University says on Twitter it had received a call about suspicious activity, but a police investigation found nothing. Campus security said it was a “false alarm.”

The investigation prompted confusion from some students on social media.

Carleton’s student newspaper, The Charlatan, reported the investigation was linked a complaint made online.
No comment as "investigation is ongoing," according to library Front Desk.

Ottawa Police would not immediately comment on the nature of the investigation when reached by CFRA.
