Part of Centre Block was evacuated this morning after a package left in front of the Peace Tower was deemed suspicious.
RCMP say a man left a bag at around 11:10 a.m..
He was detained as the bomb squad was called in to investigate.
They determined the package was not a threat.
The all-clear order was given and people were allowed back inside.
The man is facing a charge of mischief.
