Gatineau Police have closed a stretch of highway after a tanker truck carrying liquid calcium flipped in Gatineau late this morning.
The tanker reportedly had to break heavily because of a vehicle that changed lanes in front of it. Because the truck was only carrying half a load at the time, the fluids moved around and flipped the tanker at around 11:30 on the westbound 50 off ramp.
A specialist was on scene to determine if the truck could be put up right. Surete du Quebec says they hope the road will reopen before 6 p.m.
