Ten people are displaced after a blaze lit up a Chinatown home Saturday afternoon.
Ottawa Fire Services said they received multiple 911 calls for a unit on the top floor of 6 Christie Street around 4:30 pm this afternoon after neighbours spotted heavy smoke coming from the top of the building. Officials said the fire was extinguished half an hour later.
One person was taken into care of paramedics but their injuries were not disclosed by officials.
Police have dispatched an investigator to the scene in order to determine the cause of the fire.
There are currently lane reductions on both Christie Street and Bronson Avenue.
