A new tap and grill is just weeks away from opening their doors in Belle River.
The Bourbon Tap & Grill is expected to open by the end of February, at the location of the former Mr. Biggs Sports Bar and Eatery.
George Marar and Joe Sperduti already co-own two locations - one at 1199 Ottawa St. in Windsor and another at 12049 Tecumseh Rd. E. in Tecumseh.
The bar and restaurant is expected to employ approximately 30 people between the kitchen and front staff, and will be hosting a job fair in early February for those interested.
This location will offer live music, a full kitchen, billiard tables, TV's, and a wood burning oven to sell their signature pizzas.
This Bourbon will also feature garage doors that can be opened in the summer time, as well as a wrap around patio.
George Marar, co-owner of The Bourbon, says this location will offer all of the same amenities as the other two location.
"Live music, definitely Thursday, Friday, Saturday to start. We'll be doing a full kitchen from open to close which is going to start off at 11 a.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week. Full menu, lunches will be full effect, dinners are going to be great. Live music will start at 9 o'clock, have a little bit of night life. We'll offer billiards."
He says this location will have some neat features.
"We're going to have three full garage doors opened up, with a wrap around patio. We've installed a wood burning oven to sell our signature item, the wood burning thin crust pizzas, which are delicious. Lots of table space, a stage and play, so many things we can do. We're so excited to show everybody."
He says everyone seems very excited for this location to open.
"Even during the build, people popping in and telling us the history about the place, and 'I helped build this, and helped build that. We can't wait. We're looking for a place to go'. So, everybody has been so positive and it's been pretty inspirational. We always wanted to be a part of Belle River, and it has just made it even better now."
Marar adds that they are looking forward to being a part of the Municipality's street closures, including Stroll the Street and Sunsplash.
