“We cannot thank our city enough for reacting so quickly and so kindly with offers of support,” Michael Maidment, CEO, Ottawa Food Bank, said in a statement. “The resiliency of our city is beautiful, and we would not have been able to help so many without our donors, supporters, and community food program partners.”
The Food Bank says visits were up 33% over the same period last year, and hamper deliveries were up 137%.
