OTTAWA - If you're craving a doughnut or double-double but are strapped for time -- you're in luck.
Tim Hortons is testing a new delivery option in Ottawa, Vancouver, and Edmonton this week.
The company launched food delivery with the Skip The Dishes app through 148 restaurants on Monday, saying it plans to expand to other cities if the test goes well.
It's one of several initiatives the coffee-and-doughnut chain has been testing to combat an onslaught of negative publicity.
The company has been trying to fix its strained relationship with some franchisees -- a battle that's been playing out in public.
The franchisees have been sparring with the company over cost-cutting measures, delays in supply deliveries and a 700-million-dollar renovation plan that they say will cost store owners 450-thousand dollars per restaurant.
