No one has been reported hurt after an apartment fire to the west of the Glebe.

No one has been reported hurt after an apartment fire to the west of the Glebe.

Firefighters were called to 463 Cambridge Street South at 5:59 p.m. Friday, on reports of flames coming from one of the apartments.

The fire was under control by 6:17 p.m., but two adults and their cat have been displaced and are being looked after by the Red Cross and the Salvation Army.

The multi-unit building was evacuated, with tenants loaded onto OC Transpo buses to keep warm. It was -12­ degrees with a strong wind chill at the time.

The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
