Two people are displaced after a house fire on Borden St. in the west end.
Ottawa Fire says calls came in just after 9:15 Sunday night reporting a chimney fire. Fire crews were on the scene less than 8 minutes later.
The blaze spread to the roof and eaves of the home as well.
The two occupants of the home---an adult man and woman--- made it out safely.
The fire was brought under control within an hour, and an investigator is responding. Crews are still on the scene conducting salvage work.
The cause of the fire is unknown, as is the cost of the damages.
More to come.
