Ottawa Fire was called to the home on O’Toole Rd. near Willhaven Dr. around 3:00 p.m.
Bystanders were the first on the scene and made some attempts to make sure people were out of the house, but the fire became too dangerous and they had to stay away.
The homeowners were not there at the time but arrived shortly after.
Fire crews had to transport water to the scene, as there are no hydrants in the area.
There’s no word yet on what may have caused the blaze.
Investigators say the fire did an estimated $1.2 million in damage.
