Ottawa Police say charges have been laid after an alleged carjacking in Kanata that has sent a woman to hospital with serious injuries.
Police were called to the Hazeldean and Eagleson area at around 8:50 p.m. Monday on reports a car had been stolen. It was found a short time later, after it had crashed.
Two men had run away from the scene of the crash, leaving a seriously injured 26-year-old woman inside the car. She was taken to hospital, where she is expected to recover. Police could not say whether or not the woman knew the suspects.
K9 units helped track down the two suspects, both of whom had minor injuries from the crash, police say.
