Two people suffered serious smoke inhalation and two dogs were killed after a house fire in the city’s east end Saturday, according to Ottawa Fire.
This happened around 12:20 p.m. at 533 Buchanan Crescent when fire received calls reporting heavy black smoke coming from the front door and garage of the detached home.
Ottawa Fire says the home is uninhabitable and two people will be displaced. The two dogs died on scene.
Damages are estimated at $120,000.
