Ottawa Fire say they responded to two separate calls about stranded boaters in the capital this evening.
A sail boat was reported stranded out on a shoal in Britannia Bay near Andrew Haydon Park and the boaters were stuck in the water.
Fire fighters shuttled five victims to shore and no injuries have been reported.
Elsewhere, Ottawa Fire responded to a call about people stranded in Dow's Lake screaming for help.
A boat had capsized, and three people were brought to shore and given first aid.
Ottawa Fire say the only call they received was from a person on a bicycle far away from the scene.
