An Ottawa City Councillor is giving farmers the all clear, after "No Tractors" signs were spotted near North Gower.
Rideau-Goulbourn Councillor Scott Moffatt tweeted a picture Monday afternoon of a "No Tractors" road sign, telling tractor drivers to ignore them because "they are ridiculous."
If you happen to be driving a tractor near North Gower, ignore these signs. They are ridiculous. pic.twitter.com/HSNtJgwDhy

He adds he removed two signs on Fourth Line Road but has been told there are others.
I knocked down the two on Fourth Line Road, but I am told there are more elsewhere. I've asked that they all be removed. https://t.co/MLUIoBQALZ

He even suggested to at least one resident to remove any signs they see as well. People joked on Twitter about what kind of town wouldn't let you ride a tractor to the post office. A question Moffatt met with a reply of "Crazy Town."
Moffatt replied to CFRA in an email Tuesday afternoon to say a coding error resulted in the signs going up.
"The contractor received instructions on detour signage and the City included the wrong coding for No Trucks signs. As a result, the contractor installed No Tractor signs. It's all being corrected," Moffatt says.
