This comes after the Senators posted a peculiar update on the status of the team last night on their social media.
In the video, Sens defenceman Mark Borowiecki interviews Sens owner Eugene Melnyk about the team.
Melnyk says that the team is in full rebuild mode and that of the 22 players on the roster, 10 of them will be rookies.
The next year, 16 rookies.
Melnyk also confirmed that the Sens aren't going anywhere and will remain in Ottawa.
No update was given on the status of Erik Karlsson who remains the subject of rampant trade rumors heading into training camp.
The Ottawa Senators are proud to share the vision for the future of our team and this organization. We are about to launch an exciting plan to rebuild our team and we are inviting you to be a part of our rise to new heights. #OttawaRising pic.twitter.com/hok2jYCUVi
