Ottawa Fire says three teenagers and two adults will be displaced by the fire. The Red Cross and the Salvation Army are assisting.
They say the blaze caused $150,000 in damages to the building and $50,000 in damages to its contents.
A fire investigator has been dispatched.

Ottawa firefighters say they battled an apartment fire in the 400-block of King George St. early Sunday morning.
They say they received multiple 911 calls for smoke and flames coming from the unit around 2:15 a.m.
The blaze was in the basement of the two-storey, semi-detached home.
Fire crews say there is one victim being treated by paramedics for injuries to both hands from broken glass, from trying to save their cat. They were transported to hospital.
Paramedics say there's also a 22-year-old man being treated for smoke inhalation and minor burn to one foot; he's currently in stable condition in hospital.
There's no word yet on the cause of the blaze or the cost of the damages.
