UPDATE OPP identify victim of fatal collision on Highway 511

An adult female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. 

OPP have identified the victim of a fatal crash south of Calabogie.

OPP were called to the scene of a single motor cycle collision on Highway 511, just north of White Lake Road, at around 2:10 p.m Sunday.

An adult female passenger was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision, while the adult male driver sustained major injuries and was transported by air ambulance to a hospital in Ottawa. 

The woman has been identified by police as 54-year Joanne Ciphery, of Renfrew.

The man, 57-year-old Brian Robinson, of Pembroke, remains in hospital.

The highway was closed for about five hours.
