Ottawa Police have identified a woman of interest in the investigation into the death of a Toronto man Monday in Mechanicsville.
Police tape went up on Carruthers Ave., north of Scott St., as Ottawa Police officers were called to the area at around 3:45 a.m. Monday on reports of gunshots.
There, they found the body of a man in his 20s.

He's been identified as Guled Ahmed, a 23-year-old from Toronto.
Police say residents on Carruthers Ave. will continue to see an increased police presence as the investigation continues.
Police said Tuesday they were looking to speak to a woman, and released photos. Police did not say she was a suspect.
In an update Wednesday morning, Ottawa Police said she had been identified. No further information was provided.

The investigation is ongoing. No arrests have been made.
