Ottawa Police say a woman has died after a serious collision in the city's west end on Thursday morning.
The two-vehicle crash happened on Moodie Drive south of Fallowfield Road at around 7:40 a.m.
Another adult, a man, was taken to hospital in stable condition with minor injuries. A boy, approximately 10 years old, was also hospitalized with serious but non-life threatening injuries to his head and legs after being extricated from the vehicle by firefighters.
Ottawa Paramedics say an off-duty military medic stopped to help at the scene and performed CPR on the woman, who was in cardiac arrest.
Police say Moodie Drive is closed between Bride Private and Cambrian Road.
The crash was one of more than two dozen emergency crews responded to between midnight and 9:00 a.m.
Most collisions were minor in nature, but Paramedics say a crash near Eagleson and Fernbank at around 8:40 a.m. sent a pedestrian to the hospital with serious head and back injuries.
