Ottawa Police say one man faces charges after Tuesday night's stabbing in Lowertown that sent one man to hospital.
Ottawa Paramedics say the victim, a 37-year-old man, was treated at the scene for “significant blood loss.” He was initially in critical condition, but had been upgraded to serious when he got to the Trauma Centre.
Police say the victim was found on Murray Street, after a fight broke out at the corner of King Edward and St. Patrick around 8:00 p.m.
A man was arrested at the scene.
Ottawa Police say 27-year-old Shawn Satterly has appeared in court and has been charged with aggravated assault, possession of a dangerous weapon, four counts of breach of recognizance and two counts of possession of a schedule I substance.
