One man has died after a two-vehicle crash on Highway 7 in the Mississippi Mills area.

Ontario Provincial Police have identified the man as 28-year-old Nader Kawash, of Carleton Place.

He was traveling westbound on Highway 7, between Ferguson Falls Road and Ramsay Concession Road 2A when his vehicle collided with an eastbound car at around 7:25 a.m. Tuesday.

The man driving the eastbound vehicle was airlifted to hospital with serious injuries.

Highway 7 was closed for several hours, but has since reopened.
