Ottawa Police have charged a 14-year-old boy in connection with a standoff involving a bow-and-arrow near a Barrhaven school.
The teen was taken into custody at about four o'clock yesterday after police say he approached an officer inside a cruiser.
A video taken by a bystander provided to CTV News shows someone walking down Kennevale Drive near Mary Honeywell Elementary.
The situation was de-escalated using words and there were no injuries.
Police say the boy was also carrying a hatchet.
The teen is charged with two counts of dangerous weapon possession, two counts of assault with a weapon and one count of carrying a concealed weapon.
Investigators are asking for more witnesses to come forward.
