Drivers in the Ottawa region will need to take caution this weekend when heading out on the roads.
Environment Canada has issued a special weather statement for the area this weekend.
The city will see anywhere from five to ten centimetres of snow come down over the course of Saturday and Sunday, with the worst of the storm moving in tomorrow with snow, ice pellets, and freezing rain.
Environment Canada Meteorologist Mark Schuster says the system should pass by tomorrow evening, making the drive in to work on Monday morning less stressful.
The brunt of the storm is expected to hit closer to the St. Lawrence River.
Schuster also says the region can expect fairer weather following this weekend on Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday.
