For one night only, the Canadian War Museum is turning the Barney Danson Theatre into a Second World War era Dance Hall! Put on your dancing shoes and 1940's inspired outfits for a swell evening of dancing to live music provided by Ottawa's swing band, Peter and the Pollcats. Don't know the steps? Don't worry. They have some of Ottawa's best dance instructors to get you started. Discover for yourself why swing was all the rage during the Second World War, when songs like Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy, Jumpin Jive and Chattanooga Choo Choo gave servicemen and women, factory workers, and homemakers a temporary but welcome escape from life's hardships. Saturday, March 25, at 7:00 p.m.
Tickets are $10; $7 for students, seniors and War Museum members.
