Happy Easter! There are events across the city for young and old alike to celebrate the Easter weekend.
Come celebrate spring’s arrival at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum during Easter weekend! After a long winter, the barns have come alive with the arrival of newborn animals. Come welcome the soft little lambs, marvel at the rabbits’ silky fur and observe the fluffy newly-hatched chicks and ducklings from up close. Visitors can learn about the transformation of cacao beans into chocolate while helping make chocolate cake or carrot cake and taste a delicious sample. What’s more, the annual egg hunt is on again! All this from Good Friday through Easter Monday at the Canada Agriculture and Food Museum!

Easter at the Billings Estate
Saturday, April 15 from 10 am to 4 pm
Celebrate the arrival of spring with your family as you complete crafts, explore the Estate, and try traditional egg dyeing. Bring along your camera to see if you can capture the Easter Bunny as he hops by! Activities will take place inside and on the grounds of the museum; please come dressed for the weather.
Hop Into Spring at the Cumberland Heritage Village Museum

It is time to celebrate Easter and the arrival of spring! Spend time with our own Curious Cottontail Easter Bunny, dye eggs and explore how people prepared for the warmer months. April is also Kite Flying Month so come fly with us! Activities take place both inside and outdoors, so be sure to dress for the weather.

The Metcalfe Farmers’ Market is hosting its Easter Market this Saturday, April 15 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Greely Community Centre.
The Golden Egg Hunt is back at the Canadian Museum of History! Earn a sweet treat by tracking down 12 special golden eggs hidden by the Easter Bunny throughout the Children’s Museum! Once again, the Easter Bunny has concealed a dozen special golden eggs for you to find in the Children’s Museum. If you can sniff out every last one of them, we’ll give you a yummy chocolate egg as a reward. To take part in this favourite family tradition, just drop by the Travel Bureau in the Children’s Museum to pick up your official Golden Egg Hunt tally sheet. Then, follow the Easter Bunny’s trail to track down all 12 hidden eggs, and hop on back to collect your yummy prize.
The event is on Friday, Saturday, Sunday AND Monday from 9:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

At the Bytown Museum, egg-spect a hopping good time with an egg-citing egg-sploration, egg-straordinary crafts and some egg-celent prizes at the Easter Egg-stravaganza Hunt.

The Easter Bunny is at in again on his sixth visit to the Diefenbunker! With hundreds of places to hide in our 100,000 square foot bunker, we need help to find all of the eggs he left behind. Come join the hunt and make an Easter craft in our historic cafeteria!

Join an experienced birdwatcher for an “Owl Prowl” evening. You’ll discover the many owls that live at Gatineau Park and learn about their unique features and behaviors. You will also learn to imitate their calls and see who will answer while you are outside in different areas in Gatineau Park. The activity will start with an indoor presentation. April 15, 7pm – 10pm.
This Friends of Gatineau Park activity is suitable for persons aged 10 and older. Reservations are required.
Please wear weather-appropriate clothing for the 90 minute outdoors component of the activity.
