Ontario's Ministry of Labour has ordered work be shut down at a construction site in Little Italy, after a worker was injured last week.
According to a statement from the Ministry, a worker had fallen from a forming platform when it tipped Friday, at the Claridge construction site at Carling and Preston.
The construction company, Bellai Brothers Construction, was ordered to stop all work until a fall protection system was put in place. Bellai was also ordered to ensure materials were stacked in a way to prevent platforms from tipping, which the Ministry says the company has complied with.
The Ministry also issued a requirement for documentation to Bellai Brothers and Claridge Homes. The investigation is ongoing.
This is the same construction site where a worker died two years ago after a large chunk of ice fell on his head.
