There are indications significant cuts are coming at city hall this week.
Councillor Diane Deans told CFRA's Ottawa Now with Evan Solomon Tuesday afternoon the cuts will be "fairly dramatic."
"In any organization the size of Ottawa, you can always find efficiencies," says Deans. "Having said that, I don't know that you can take what could be several hundred people out of the organization and not impact services."
Councillor Stephen Blais would not confirm cuts during an interview on Ottawa Now, saying "decisions on reorganization are coming in the very near future, whether it's tomorrow or another day."
"(City Manager) Steve Kanellakos is reorganizing city hall to ensure we're providing the highest quality of service without drastic tax increases."
The previous round of cuts affected upper management.
A source tells CFRA middle management positions are included in this round.
It's unclear when they will be announced, though Deans says it could be as soon as Wednesday.
