Some campers have already booked their spot at a City of Ottawa Urban Campground for Canada Day.
There have been eight bookings since registration opened for the five night Voyageur Packages on January 16.
The City says there have been two registrations from Alberta, two from Nova Scotia, three from Ontario and one from Saskatchewan.
To create extra accommodation spaces over the Canada Day weekend, the City is renting out spots for tents and RV's at recreation centres, arenas and museums. Visitors can book a spot to park a camper or pitch a tent from June 29 to July 4.
Regular registration for the camp sites opens on March 1.
The CIty of Ottawa says the camping page on Ottawa.ca has attracted over 2,000 unique visitors.
