The University of Ottawa has told the executive committee at the Students Federation of the University of Ottawa to launch a forensic audit into allegations of financial mismanagement amongst certain individuals in the administration of the SFUO.
In a press release, the U of O says that while they are not directly involved as the SFUO is a seperate entity from the university, they're primary concern is protecting the interests of the students.
The U of O also said they will be withholding transfer payments over to the SFUO that is usually made to help pay for things like a U-Pass until the audit is completed.
The university gave it's full support to the SFUO that the matter would be resolved.
