After two days of deliberations, a jury has found a 24 year old Ottawa man guilty of first-degree murder.
Carson Morin was charged in the 2013 death of Mike Wassill, whose throat was slashed in a confrontation at Wassill's home in Orleans.
Morin testified he went to Wassill's home seeking money owed to him by a stripper who lived there, and did not plan to kill the victim.
His lawyer urged the jury to find his client guilty of manslaughter.
Morin has an automatic sentence of life, with no chance of parole for at least 25 years.
