A memorial will be held for the late Annie Pootoogook in Ottawa Thursday morning.
The reknowned Iniut artist was found dead in the Rideau River on September 19th.
Ottawa police have said her death warrants further investigation, as it has suspicious elements, but it has not been ruled a homicide at this time.
The memorial will be held at St. Paul's Eastern United Church on Cumberland street at 11:00 a.m.
Pootoogook is being laid to rest in her hometown of Cape Dorset, Nunavut.
