No injuries in Laperriere Avenue fire

Firefighters say a gas can caught on fire out front of the business, which then spread to the home.

No one was injured after a fire at a Carlington buisness overnight.

Firefighters say they were called to the 1562 Laperriere Ave. Friday morning just after 2:00 a.m. on reports of smoke coming from the building. 

They say a gas can was on fire at the front of the business, which then spread to the building, a one-story small home turned into a commercial workplace.

The fire was brought under control within 20 minutes. Damages are estimated at $100,000. 

An Ottawa Fire Investigator is responding to the incident.
