Russell County OPP are looking for assistance from the public to identify a man they believe is connected to three separate incidents in Casselman and Embrun.
Police say they want to speak to the man.
The first incident happened at the Metro in Casselman on Saturday, around 4:30 p.m. Police say they received a complaint about a suspicious man who had approached a woman and her young children, and asked the mother to bring her children to his home so they could play with the woodworking equipment in his garage. He also offered his phone number. The mother declined the offers.
On Sunday, around 1:00 p.m., police were called to the Dollarama in Embrun for two separate incidents in which an unknown man approached parents with young children, and offered to invite the children over to play in the wood shop in his garage, and provided his phone number. The parents in both cases denied the requests.
Police believe the same man is involved in all three incidents, given their similarity. They're hoping the public can help identify him, or that he'll contact police directly.
He's described as follows:
Anyone who can provide any information about this incident is asked to contact Detective Constable Tammy Barnes of the Russell County OPP at 613-443-4499 or OPP Communication Centre at 1-888-310-1122.
