Renfrew OPP say two men - including one from Ottawa - have been charged with conspiracy to commit murder related to an incident of domestic violence.
Police are not elaborating on the case, outside of saying an investigation began last Friday.
The 44-year-old man from Ottawa and 46-year-old man from McNab-Braeside Township are additionally charged with conspiracy to kidnap.
The McNab-Braeside Township man is also charged with assault, mischief, harassment and injuring an animal.
Their names are not being released in order to protect the alleged victim's identity.
