UPDATE: Ottawa Police confirm late Thursday night they arrested Williams on George St. around 11:00 p.m.

The arrests came after Williams allegedly tried to kick in a glass door of the Bell Media building on George St.

Ottawa Police are looking for a man they say has made threats against police officers and other uniformed personnel.

Police say 40-year-old Troy Larry Williams, of Ottawa, threatened to stab police officers and local hospital security workers Thursday.

He has also allegedly threatened mall security.

Williams is described as a Caucasian male, 5'7", with a medium build, salt and pepper hair, unshaven, and with blue eyes.

Police say he is to be considered armed and dangerous and a threat to anyone in a uniform.

If you see him, do not approach, and call 9-1-1 immediately.
