Following raids on seven marijuana dispensaries across the city, Ottawa Police will be watching to see if any of the dispensaries open up again.
That happened in Toronto - where one shop opened up just one day after it was shut down by police.
Joining Kristy Cameron on The Newsfeed, Ottawa Police Acting Superintendent Chris Henwick says there will be action if that happens here.
"We are in tune with what's going on in other parts of Ontario and Canada. Yes, in other jurisdictions the shops have reopened and it doesn't change - they will be subjected to further police action."
Of the seven dispensaries that were raided, there are still 10 more in the city.
Henwick says the rest of the pot shops in the city should consider this as their warning.
"We are continuing with investigations and the persons who are still running the storefronts - which is illegal - should be on notice that they are conducting illegal activity and they will be subject to enforcement."
Police made nine arrests on Friday, with those arrested facing charges of possession for the purpose of trafficking and possession of proceeds of crime.
