Ottawa Police say fulfilling a particular online challenge can lead to a ticket or criminal charges.
The challenge is called the 24 Hour overnight challenge - where suspects sneak into a restaurant, a store, a gym, or a stadium and try to spend the night.
Ottawa Police Staff Sergeant Mike Haarbosch says they're investigating a series of YouTube videos, and he’s urging the people in the video to confess.
A trespassing ticket has been issued in at least one case, but Haarbosch says charges of breaking and entering could also be laid, adding when an alarm is tripped overnight it diverts police resources away from actual emergencies.
