A 75-year-old Perth woman has been having problems selling her van, because liens have been placed on it by.....Fred and Pebbles Flinstone.
CTV's Paul Bliss said the problem seems to have stemmed from the provincial government.
"I have traced the problem back to some government workers that were doing some tests," Bliss said.
"Through a series of procedures, they ended up placing liens on the vehicle."
The woman's M.P.P., Conservative Randy Hillier, says he's been trying to correct the situation for his constituent for months.
"The answer that we got back from everybody was that Maureen had to go to court, had to engage the services of a lawyer, to fix up what is so obviously and so clearly a total muck-up," Hillier told CTV News.
The problem may not stop there - several other vehicle registrations have also been found with liens levied by the Bedrock cartoon characters.
The provincial government has agreed to remove the liens against the Perth woman, and Consumer Affairs minister Tracy MacCharles says an investigation is under way.
