The Ontario government says it continues to work on recommendations made by a task force to improve conditions at the Ottawa-Carleton Detention Centre.
A second progress report was released by the province today.
The Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Services highlights a few improvements it says have been completed since last October, including better access to mental health treatment.
Hours for lawyer visits have also been expanded, and a working group has been created to improve food delivery.
Harsh criticism of conditions at the Innes Road jail led to the creation of the task force.
Capacity issues had inmates sleeping in converted showers.
