Quebec's independent police watchdog is investigating an incident involving Gatineau police left a woman fighting for her life Tuesday night.
Police responded to a call about excessive noise and cries in an apartment around 6:15 p.m.
Bureau des enquêtes indépendantes (BEI) Quebec says officers forced open the door and faced an "agitated woman who was delirious and bumped her head.*
BEI says after officers handcuffed her, they called an ambulance reporting her health was deteriorating.
She is now on life support in hospital.
